This seminar aims at providing you with the possibility to learn about pediatrics in all its facets in a real-life environment while being coached by an excellent teacher.
In small groups, you will experience intensive bed-side teaching, followed by in-depth discussion of relevant medical and pathophysiological problems associated with "your" patients. You will learn how you can easily take a patient's history and how to present it to your senior or teacher and you can work on your clinical and theoretical skills in pediatrics.
You will spend one whole week in a small group of enthusiastic people, learning together in an atmosphere of collegiality . Apart from the seminar work, which will consist of daily morning lectures, taking histories on the wards, discussions and afternoon reviews, you will also have the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and your teachers during the evenings.
The main eligibility criteria for this seminar are true interest in everyday-occurring problems in pediatrics and most importantly the will to work on one's knowledge and skills. Basic skills in bed-side examination techniques and basic knowledge in pediatrics are helpful but not mandatory.
