Start: Mid-September 2025 Duration: 5 months, extension possible depending on project needs Hours: 5 hours per week Location: Chair of Ethics of AI and Neuroscience, Institute for History and Ethics of Medicine, TUM

Your Role

We are looking for a Student Assistant (m/f/d) to support our international team in the HARMONY project, which investigates health-related (mis-)information on social media and its impact on young adults. Your main tasks will include:

  • Supporting the conduct and analysis of online surveys
  • Assisting with study participant onboarding & management
  • Helping to process and analyze social media content
  • Preparing and cleaning datasets (primarily in R)
  • General support for the research team (e.g., literature research, documentation, administrative tasks)

What You Bring

  • Enrollment at a German university (BA or MA, in a relevant discipline: e.g., medicine, psychology, sociology, communication science, data science)
  • Demonstrable digital affinity and genuine interest in social media, digital health, or science communication
  • First experience with R (or similar statistical/analytical tools)
  • Excellent German and English language skills (min. C1)
  • Structured, reliable, and self-motivated way of working
